Walgreens Shopping Trip - 7/14/10 - 82% savings

I am new to shopping at Walgreens, but they had some great deals that I just couldn't pass up. My oldest daughter is starting school in a couple of weeks, and so she needed a backpack. And who doesn't need gum? Here is how it went:

(2) Backpacks $9.99
These are on sale for BOGO Free
= $9.99 for both (about $5.00 each)
(12) Dentyne Gum $1.09
They had an ad in their store, where if you buy 3 they are only $0.99 for all 3.
Use (4) $1/1 coupon from the 6/13 SS
= Free for all 12!
(6) Mini Highlighters $0.39
Use in-store coupon for $0.30 off each one
= $0.45 for all 6

All together it should have come to $35.40. With the discounts/coupons listed above (plus a $5 Catalina coupon from before) it came to only $6.35. That is a savings of 82% and with 20 items that is about $0.32 each! How awesome. If I hadn't used my $5 Catalina it would have came to $11.35, with a savings of 68% and with 20 items being about $0.57 each. Still not bad considering I got 2 backpacks.

Target Shopping Trip 7/14/10 - 93% savings

To be honest with you, this was one of my first times actually shopping at target for something other than a really good DVD that is on sale...so I was a little nervous, but everything went great. Here's the details:

(8) Johnson and Johnson Nonstick Small 10 ct pads $1.57 each

Use (4) $3.00/2 coupons from here (print twice per computer)
*when you purchase 3 items you get a free first aid bag, since we bought 12 items we got 4 bags free.
= $2.88 for all four kits ($0.72 each)
(2) Johnson and Johnson Baby Wash $1.97
Use $2/2 coupon from here
Use $0.75/2 coupon from here
= $1.18 for both ($0.59 each)

It all should have came to $51.60, but with the discounts/sales and the coupons the total came to $7.09. That is a savings of 93% and with 19 items that is about $0.42 each. I was very happy, and will continue to shop there if I can get deals like this. The nice thing about this is you can get all the deals, even if you don't get the newspaper!

Smith's Shopping Trip 7/15/10 - 85% savings

I was thrilled that I had gotten such a great deal on everything at Smith's yesterday that I decided to go back today and try and work some more magic! :)
Here is how it went:

When you add it all together before the $5.00 off and before the coupons it came to $27.84. Apply the $5.00 off for the 10 items, and the coupons as listed above, and it came to only around $4.22. For 17 items that is about $0.25/each and a savings of 85%.

I actually bought 10 Propel Waters as well, but the $2/10 coupon didn't apply to the order, so I have to take them back. (my mistake, not theirs).

Smith's Shopping Trip 7/14/10 - 96% savings

Over the last couple of days I have gone to Smiths to try and take advantage of the "Mega Sales Event" they are having. The sale is when you buy 10 participating items, you get $5 off. For the full list you can go here to view it. Here is what I found were great deals and wanted to share:

This was my first shopping trip and After getting these items (2 of each item) and using the above coupons, I only spent $1.13 for a savings of 96%. This equaled out to only $0.11 per item! :)
