Rite Aid Shopping Trip 7/22/10

Funny enough, I found one more $1/1 Pantene Haircare coupon and wanted to go and get another hairspray for $1, so I ran in and on the way back there, I noticed that the Garnier Facial Cleansers all had $2/1 peelies on them!!!! YEA! I grabbed 4 of them (it seems like we go through these like crazy) and got my hairspray and two more toothpastes and headed up to the register. Here is what happened!
(2) Garnier Nutritioniste Facial Wash, $6.29 ($12.58)
         $5/1 Garnier Nutritioniste (in-ad coupon)
        (2) $2/1 peelies from in-store
* (1) Pantene Hairspray $3.99
        Use $1/1 from the 7/4 PG
Total = $7.71 oop
                 Get back $3 up reward from Garnier + $2 up reward from Pantene
                 Total = $2.71 total cost

(2) Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste $2.99 ($5.98)
Use (2) $0.75/1 from 7/4 PG
Use (4) $1 up rewards
Total = $0.89 oop
                 Get back (2) $1.49 up rewards from Crest
                 Total = $1.48 total cost

Out of pocket you will spend $10.04 (or less, depending on the up rewards you use, I forgot on my first transaction to use ones from the previous shopping trip that were left over...). Over all you will pay $5.63. Since you purchased 4 more facial care products, you are now eligible for the $10+$5 bonus rebates for Skin Care Rebates. So that takes me from spending $10 to making $5! I was so excited to realize that.

I have to tell you this trip did not go well. None of the Up rewards were printing on the receipts and I ended up making three trips in before it was all figured out right. But it was. and so this is a great lesson on CHECKING YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE!
