Nestle "Happy New SCHOOL Year" Sweepstakes

Nestle is offering Back to School Sweepstakes. You can win $5,000 for Back to School Essentials, $2,000 in grant money for your school and they are offering a Daily Prize of a DryErase pack. It ends on Oct. 15, 2010 so be sure to enter everyday. If you win anything come back and let us know!

*Update* Schick Razors at Smiths!

Previously I posted HERE about Smith's having their Schick razors on sale for only $2.88 each! This sale is good until the first of November, 2010 so you have time to stock up on the $3/1 coupons or just use the $2/1 coupons before they expire. You choose.

To sweeten the deal, I found out that Smiths is offering a Catalina on Schick right now through September 30, 2010! Spend $25 and get a $5 catalina (coupon good towards your next purchase at Smiths).

If you have the $3 coupons, if won't matter except you would have a good money maker. If you have the $2/1 coupons do the deal before the 30 and  you will only pay $3 for all 9 razors. If you have some $3 then add them in for an even better deal!

Here is the deal scenario:

  • (9) Schick razors (any combination of the on sale items) $2.88 each
    • Use $2/1 coupons from 8/22 SS or 9/12 SS OR Use coupons you can win from Schick Visual Q's on Facebook they have $2/1 and $3/1 coupons and free razors as the prizes. So once you are done playing, make sure you click on "Claim my prize" and you will see what you have won. (you can win one coupon per day (2 prints per coupon)).
  • Total = $25.92
    • Use coupons as detailed above
  • Total = $7.92 + tax (if using $2/1) or FREE if you have $3/1 coupons.
Get back $5 Catalina
Total cost = $2.92 + tax for all 9 razors or $0.33 per package!!! OR Free for the 9 packages and with the overage you will also be able to spend an extra $1.08 with only having to pay for tax. So I would get something priced at least $1.50 if you are going to use all $3 coupons so there are no issues.

To view my Shopping Trip with these, CLICK HERE!

I tried doing this with only 4 razors, because before you swipe you FV Card the total was over $25, but it didn't print the Catalina. So this confirmed that you have to have your total be $25 AFTER the sales price is applied, but BEFORE coupons! If you didn't get your catalina, and you know or feel you should have got one, CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.

Smiths Schick Razors...12 for only $6

I got these 9 packages and it came to $9.70, plus a catalina printed out for $5 off my next order. Now, the bottom line here should have been cheaper, but I forgot one of my coupons, so I may go in and try to get them to apply it. We will see.
I went the next day since I found three more coupons, and got three more razors. Since I had two $3/1 coupons and a $2/1 coupon my total for all 3 razors OOP after tax was only $1.18! Thats great!

Still over all I got 12 packages for only $6 and that's only $0.50 each, so I won't complain!
I am posting all the details soon.

Smiths Weekly Deals 9/22/10-9/28/10

Just a reminder about Fresh Values Cards...If you don't have one, sign up for one when you go shopping. When you get home (or have access to a computer) Register your card HERE (or if you have a card already, but do not have an online account, register NOW). If you are wondering why its so important here are three really good reasons: Reason 1: You get points for every dollar you spend at Smiths, and the only way to get your "Rewards check" (money in the form of a Smiths coupon) is to sign up on their site. Reason 2: You can download coupons straight to your Smiths card (there is a link for this page on the left side of my blog) and then when you go shopping it automatically deducts the coupon when you are checking out! Reason 3: You get a better price on most of the items in the store with a Fresh Values card, so you save more, and earn points, and get coupons! These are just a few of the items in the Smiths Ad. To see the rest of the ad and the deals go Here. (Thanks to grocery smarts)

    • Use $4/$20 coupon HERE
    • Use $9.50 in coupons as detailed above
    • Use $5 in +Up rewards from previous transaction ( you can not use the +Up rewards to pay the sales tax, so it won't let you take more than the sales tax amount off. In this case the sales tax was $1.44, so a balance of $1.44 must remain after the +Up rewards are taken off.)
  • Total OOP = $2.41
    • Get back $5 +Up reward from Arm and Hammer
  • Total cost = $2.41
Overall you spent a total of about $18 out of pocket, but after rebates and rewards you will have only spent overall a total of about $2. For everything you got, you can't beat that. That is amazing! You should have a $1 Up reward and a $5 Up reward left over good until the beginning of October, so you can use those in the next couple of weeks on some other good sales.
If you have any questions, let me know. Good Luck!
