Walgreens Shopping Trip 8/3/10

I had a $5 Register Reward that expired today, and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I put a list together and headed out! What a trip. I had to take my three kids with me and that was crazy. They were so tired after the mess and the checkstand that they were all pretty much screming and crying. But, we got it all done and out to the car, and got them calmed down, so I went over the receipts since it didn't seem to add up right...AND IT DIDN'T!!! GRRR. So we all got back out, and went in and went to a different register and the lady there was great. She knew Exactly what she was doing, and I was in and out. So here are the details...


TRANSACTION 1
  • Gillette Pro Fusion Power Razor $9.89
  • Crayola Crayons 24 pk $1.00
  • Walgreens 2 pack Bandaids $2.00
  • Playtex Gentle Glide Tampons 2/$8
  • Noxema Razors 4pk 2/$5
    • Total = $23.29
      • Use 15% Friends and Family Coupon (present very First!!!)
        F&F 15% discount = $3.51 = $19.88 total
      • Use $4/1 coupon for the Gillette Razor from the 8/1 PG
      • Use (2) $1/1 coupons from here for Playtex
      • Use $2/1 coupon for Noxzema from 5/23 RP
    • Total = $11.88
      • Use $5 RR coupon (from last week)
    • total = $6.88 + tax = $8.30 oop
      • Get $5 RR from Gillete Razor
      • Get $3 RR from Playtex
      • Get $1 RR from Crayola
    • Total Paid = $4.30

  • Visine Tears .5 oz $3.99
  • Listerine Whitening Mouthwash $5.99
  • (3) Paper Mate Highlighters $0.19 each ($0.57)
    • Total = $20.44
      • Use 15% Friends and Family Coupon (present very First!!!)
        F&F 15% discount = 3.06 = $17.38 total
      • Use $4/1 coupon for the Gillette Razor from the 8/1 PG
      • Use $1/1 coupon for the Listerine from the JCPenneyRP-1/3
      • Use $1/1 coupon for the Visine from the 6/13 RP

    • Total = $11.38
      • Use $2 in-ad coupon for Listerine

      • Use $2 in-ad coupon for Visine

      • Use $2 coupon from Walgreens coupon book for Visine

      • Use $2 coupon from Walgreens coupon book for Listerine

    • Total = $3.38 + tax = $4.34

      • Use $3 RR from Playtex

      • Use $1 RR from Crayola

    • Total Paid = $0.34 oop

      • Get $5 RR from Gillette

    • Total Paid = FREE + $0.66 money maker

So I have two (2) $5 RR to use over the next couple of weeks, and I only paid $8.64 out of pocket for everything. (It would have been $13.77 but I had that $5 reward from last time).
Here is the breakdown Total for both transactions came to $43.73
Total paid before any RR = $17.64
Use ($5 RR), ($3 RR), ($1 RR) = $8.64
Total cost of everything = $3.64 = 92% savings and $0.30 per item
